We often hear that we should reach out and gather a team of people around us when we feel like we could use some extra support. Ideally, this support team will provide us with encouragement and added motivation, while helping us to weather the storms that we're facing. But any one of us, due to a variety of circumstances, can find ourselves at a place in life where we no longer have all the connections we used to. As a result, the support you would normally have around you to draw on is no longer there. These are the times when you need to push forward on your own steam, based on your vision, faith, and perseverance.

“Out of clutter find simplicity. From discord, find harmony. In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity.” Albert Einstein The answers we're looking for don't always jump out at us the way we would like them to. That doesn't mean the answers aren't there; it just means they might not be readily apparent without a bit of work. If you're willing to put in the work to clear the clutter, resolve the discord, and push through the difficulty, you'll be amazed at what you have right in front of you. Great friends add so much to our lives, it's difficult to capture it in words. They make the good times better, and the bad times easier to bear. Friendship makes our lives richer, fuller, more colourful, and more satisfying. Bumps and misunderstandings may arise from time to time, but you move past these minor issues and continue to enjoy each other's company. But what happens when the issues aren't so minor? Maybe your friend does something unexpected that totally shatters the trust you shared. Perhaps a number of little things have been adding up over time, and the issues have become too serious to ignore. Things may ultimately reach a stage where you're even questioning whether the friendship is worth maintaining. Where do you draw the line? Every situation is different, so there's one-size-fits-all rule for determining when it's time to end a friendship. But if any of the following issues are showing up, it's definitely time to take an honest look at how things are going. Spring is the time when people like to put a little extra effort into their housecleaning. But what about your physical body? Do you feel heavy or bloated? Did you gain weight during the winter months? Is your energy not quite up where you would like it to be? Are you relying on coffee or sugar to keep you going throughout the day? Just as your living environment might need a little spring cleaning to clear out the junk and freshen things up, your body might need this as well. With just a few small changes, you'll quickly notice a difference as you start to feel lighter, brighter, and more energetic. |
